Case study / Financial services / Licensed insolvency trustee

Growing case files by 20 percent in a market crowded with unlicensed advice

A licensed trustee firm competed against national bankruptcy chains and a wave of unregulated debt advice providers.

01 Overview

A licensed trustee firm competed against national bankruptcy chains and a wave of unregulated debt advice providers. It set a specific target: 10 percent more debtor files than the previous year. The work tightened the website for search and conversion and ran paid search with manual control over every dollar.

02 The challenge

Credible, licensed and outnumbered.

People in financial difficulty search at moments of stress, and the results are full of unregulated providers making promises a licensed trustee cannot. The firm needed to raise awareness of what a licensed trustee actually does, compete with national chains for the same searches, weather search algorithm updates, and grow new case files by at least 10 percent over the prior year, quickly.

03 The work

A faster site, a clearer path and a tightly run paid program.

We optimized the website for search, improved the mobile experience and closed the conversion gaps that were losing inquiries. Call tracking made phone leads measurable for the first time. The paid search program was run manually: keyword bids monitored to control budget, ads A/B tested for performance, negative keywords added continuously and landing page copy aligned to each campaign so a click landed on a page that matched the promise.
